About Art Hanson
Art Hanson began his radio career in 1996 at WMLB, a 5000 watt AM station in a small town about an hour north of Atlanta, GA. At the time, WMLB was one of about a hundred radio stations across the country that had devoted their entire programming to the Americana genre. In 1997, the radio trade journal Gavin presented WMLB with the “Americana Station of the Year” award.
Art currently lives in Cleveland, Ohio and is the host of “Americana Breakdown” on Saturday nights here on WAMU’s Bluegrass Country.
