Dance Your Blues Away on Mardi Gras Day
We’re hitting the streets this week to celebrate – what else? – Mardi Gras! We’ll meet parade float builders, visit the Backstreet Cultural Museum in Treme, discover a skull and bone gang and baby dolls, follow Mardi Gras Indians and learn why flamingos flock to Baton Rouge this time of year.

Earl Brothers Live
They’re so primeval, insistent, dark, old time and thrilling that they defy description. To them, it’s not so much what you put into the music, but what you leave out. Think of the Stanley Brothers gone gothic. Those bad, bad boys of outlaw hillbilly, the Earl Brothers, will be dressed in black, blasting out music from the darkest recesses of BluegrassLand, live. We’ll also have new ones from Dehlia Low, John Reischman & the Jaybirds, Dan Crary & Thunderation and John Bowman.
