Bluegrass Review
We’re playing some new releases by established artists today. Right at the beginning we play a Junior Sisk tragedy that takes place during card gambling. Of course, we follow it up with a classic of that theme. Bluegrass is full of high and lonesome. But why not low and lonesome? That is the question asked by the Gem of Bluegrass. Later, we talk with one of the most interesting figures in old time music today, Bob Carlin. He plays the banjo, teaches it nationwide, and researches the history of old time music. He demonstrates how some of the great Round Peak banjoists have approached the music, and then plays a bit of his own eclectic style. The playlist is located at www.bluegrassreview.com.
