Some of you have probably noticed that we have been airing a new program on WAMU’s Bluegrass Country over the last few weeks called Irish Heartbeat with Dervish. This new show has been airing temporarily since May 29 in our Roots and Branches block on Saturdays at 6pm ET in place of Thistle and Shamrock.
Irish Heartbeat with Dervish is a live performance weekly radio show hosted by Irish traditional music group Dervish and presented by the band’s charismatic singer Cathy Jordan. Dervish provide support as the house band. The show features a wide variety of Irish cultural talent with a crossover element of international guest artists from folk/roots style music who sit in on jam sessions.
