45 Years of
Bluegrass on WAMU
On July 2, 1967, WAMU introduced its first bluegrass radio show, the half-hour “Bluegrass Unlimited,” with Dick Spottswood as host and Gary Henderson as engineer and associate producer.
45 years later to the day, Spottswood and Henderson will reunite to celebrate this momentous occasion during a special edition of The Gary Henderson Show.
Tune in on Monday, July 2, 2012 at noon ET to hear these two legends of bluegrass broadcasting reminisce about their time at WAMU, share archival audio, and most importantly—play bluegrass music.
