Well, Well, Well - We’ll be exploring one of the most often encountered things in BluegrassLand—something that’s been at the center of all civilizations since prehistoric times. Half the Bible seemingly concerns events occurring at or near these places. Proverbs 5: 15-17 states that to own one of these things is to “possess the surrounding country.” Folks have been casting wishes on them, seeking healing and finding peace from them; and writing songs about them for centuries. With the help of the Stevens Sisters, John Reischman & the Jay Birds, Doc & Merle Watson, Rhonda Vincent and the Lewis Family, we’ll be seeking water from the well—both literally and figuratively—as we check out deep wells, poison wells, wishing wells and holy wells.
