We'll explore roots of bluegrass recorded in Charlotte, NC in the mid-’30s (Arthur Smith Trio, Blue Sky Boys, Carlisle Brothers, Mainers’ Mountaineers, Monroe Brothers); branches of bluegrass spreading to the deep south, California, and Japan; and musical styles related to bluegrass in Brazil and Ireland. A production of the International Bluegrass Music Museum with Host Fred Bartenstein.
