02/09/2010 (rebroadcast from 02/07/2010) - Today we open by taking a cue from the previous Gem of Bluegrass, and play a couple of songs on rounders: one the old fashioned kind, and one about a modern day rounder. This week’s Gem of Bluegrass is focused on a neat songwriting technique: personifying an emotion. Later, we interview James Reams, a Kentucky boy who now lives in New York City. He has interesting things to say about the New York City bluegrass scene, and sings some of his songs that relate to his Kentucky roots.
