Sun. 10 p.m. ET, Mon. 11 p.m. ET, Wed. 6 a.m. ETBluegrass Signal is produced and hosted by Peter Thompson in the studios of KALW in San Francisco.
The show usually features a theme and the music is taken from classic as well as recent releases. Peter provides background and contextual information and often includes live sessions and/or interviews with musicians.
One thing you can count on: the music is almost always from the Left Coast or from bands appearing in the San Francisco Bay area.

Included in the show are both relatively well-known bluegrass bands (Dr. Ralph & the Clinch Mountain Boys, Blue Highway, Lonesome River Band, Junior Sisk & Rambler's Choice) and notable old time musicians (Wayne Henderson, Elizabeth LaPrelle, New Ballard’s Branch Bogtrotters, Mac & Jenny Trayham).
