In celebration of the 45th anniversary of bluegrass on WAMU, selections from bluegrass LPs released in 1967, including the instrumental collections of Jimmy Martin, Flatt & Scruggs with Doc Watson, and Scotty Stoneman; new albums from some of the music’s pioneers (Bill Monroe & his Blue Grass Boys, Jim & Jesse & the Virginia Boys, Osborne Brothers) and new LP compilations from others (Stanley Brothers, Reno & Smiley); plus new releases from Reno & Harrell, the Stoneman Family, the Dixie Gentlemen with Tut Taylor, Earl Taylor & Jim McCall, Jim Eanes, the New Lost City Ramblers, and E.C. Ball.
