Wed. 6 p.m. ET, Sat. 2 p.m. ETAn Americana program to highlight new acoustic American roots music. Hosted by Jen Hitt, Capital Americana features music from acts who are performing in the D.C. area., new albums by Americana musicians, as well as interviews and live performances from musicians who visit our studio.
Americana is a relatively new general music genre, which includes folk, bluegrass, alt-country, acoustic, and other roots music.

Jen currently produces the show from Austin, Texas, keeping tabs on “The Live Music Capitol of the World” and during the Summer months produces her show from the road at festivals like Kerrville Folk Festival and Planet Bluegrass’s Folks Fest.
