Open Mic
March 19, 2011
Description
This week on Open Mic, we’ll be airing two back-to-back episodes of Woodsongs, a new show that we’re considering adding to our regular lineup. Hosted and produced by Michael Johnathan, Woodsongs features performances from folk, bluegrass, and Americana musicians recorded in front of a live audience at the Kentucky Theatre in Lexington, KY. In the first hour of the show, we’ll hear the king of newgrass himself, Sam Bush, followed in the next hour by performances from bluegrass family band Cherryholmes and pianist Kenny White.
We’d love to hear what YOU think about Woodsongs. So, give it a listen, on Saturday at 6 a.m. ET, Monday at 5 a.m. ET, Thursday at 3 a.m. ET, or on Friday at 6 p.m. ET, and let us know what you think by clicking here and sending us a short message with your thoughts!
And if you can’t tune in to our regular Open Mic time slot and would still like to register an opinion, you can hear archived Woodsongs shows on the shows website here.
