Stained Glass Bluegrass

Willie Nelson accompanied by old-time banjo? Yes indeed, Willie provides us with his version of “Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down” featuring a background banjo played by Riley Baugus as well as Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Stuart Duncan on fiddle. We’ll also enjoy Willie’s arrangement of Hank Williams’ “House of Gold” with a little more background old-time banjo with Mike Compton on mandolin. Don’t worry we’re not sliding into the country field per se since we’ll also have the group Common Strings to add to our list of old hymns with “When The Redeemed Are Gathering In” which was written around 1912. Hang in for two more from the new CD by Audie Blaylock & Redline as they turn in great harmony on Paul Williams’ “Pray The Clouds Away” and nice a cappella version of “He Is Near.” A full plate this week when we gather at 6 AM ET on Sunday and 9 PM ET Tuesday evening for the rebroadcast.
