The Katy Daley Show
July 7, 2009
Description

This is the peghead of my fretless banjo made by Verne Marr of Pendleton, Oregon. The marquetry inlay is a perfect replica of “Frances,” my favorite C&O Canal mule. The dogwood flower over her head indicates she was born in Virginia. Frances retired from government service and now lives on the boyhood farm of former President Jimmy Carter in Plains, Georgia. Great mule; great banjo.
