When Bluegrass Country became independent from WAMU in 2017, we had some decisions to make, the main one being how we would raise money to operate.
We decided to rely on our listeners to fund the station, as a way to make the point that Bluegrass Country belongs to its listeners.
Bluegrass Country does accept underwriting support, but it always comes from entities that support our mission to bring you the best in American roots music, without commercials, 24 hours a day.
Your financial support since 2017 has allowed Bluegrass Country Radio to not only survive but to thrive, by presenting new programs such as All Kinds of Country with Sully Roddy, Michael Buckley’s Americana Voices, and The Celtic Cut with Oliver Sweeney (direct from County Sligo!), as well as continuing to broadcast long time favorites like Stained Glass Bluegrass, The Dick Spottswood Show, The Old Time Jam with Brad Kolodner, The Lee Michael Demsey show, and many others.
For the first time, we are asking you to take a quick survey to let us know what kinds of music you like, which Bluegrass Country programs you like, and how often you listen. The reason is simple: The more we know about your musical preferences and listening habits, the better job we can do bringing you the music you want to hear. This link will take you to the survey.
