Brad Kolodner playing banjo.

Old Time Jam

Scheduled on:
Friday 12:00 pm 3:00 pm

Brad Kolodner takes the reins for this popular show from former host Rosemarie Nielsen.  He continues this Friday afternoon tradition playing the best in old-time music.

Brad Kolodner is a full-time musician who plays clawhammer banjo, old-time fiddle, and guitar. Rooted in the traditions of Appalachian folk music, Brad is an avid promoter and ambassador for old-time, bluegrass and American roots music. He tours throughout the region in a duet with his father, world-renowned hammered dulcimer player and old-time fiddler Ken Kolodner. Ken & Brad’s first album as a duo, Otter Creek, was the #1 most played instrumental album on the Folk-DJ Radio charts in 2011.

Brad graduated from Ithaca College in 2012 with a degree in Television/Radio where he hosted a folk show on WICB called “The Hobo’s Lullaby.”

Brad is a member of the group Charm City Junction and former Strathmore Artist in Residence. He lives in Baltimore where he teaches banjo at his music studio.
